Seniors need you. Baker Senior Center Naples is looking for volunteers who want a meaningful way to give back to the community. The center’s volunteers routinely say they get more than they give out of the relationships they form with seniors.

Join the ranks and make a real difference in the lives of your neighbors! The center is seeking volunteers to fill a variety of roles.

Memory Support Volunteers – Dementia Respite & Brain Joggers

Dementia Respite & Brain Joggers Group volunteers assist Baker Senior Center Naples professional staff on a regular basis with seniors in early to mid-stage dementia. Volunteer tasks include help with computer “games,” memory quizzes, chair exercises, music and art therapy, serving lunch, and more. Volunteers in this program receive ongoing specialized training in order to fulfill the needs of the program participants.

Musicians and Singers – Spread the joy of music to seniors in our community!

Baker Senior Center Naples is looking for talented musicians and singers to perform scheduled popup concerts for seniors facing social isolation. By sharing your talents 1 or 2 times a year for 4 hours, you can make a difference! Performances will take place in the yards of clients between the hours of 9 AM-5 PM Monday-Friday.

Center Activity Volunteers

Center Activity Volunteers share a variety of interests and talents. Baker Senior Center Naples is currently offering various classes, lectures and activities including exercise, travel, current events, needleworks, book club, conversational groups and various musical opportunities. Programs range from weekly to monthly. Call to see if your hobby or area of expertise is a fit to share with our members. 

Food Pantry Volunteers

Pantry Shoppers: Food Panty Shopper Volunteers customize pantry bags which are delivered to seniors within the program. They assist in maintaining an orderly pantry, arranging our stock and discarding expired items.

 

 

*The Baker Senior Center Naples Volunteer Services Program is generously funded through a grant from The Retirement Research Foundation. A complete background check, including fingerprinting,is required for all volunteers.
